Partnership + Platform: How Fivos Shows Up for Our Registry Partners

When a medical society partners with Fivos, they gain more than the PATHWAYS registry platform. They gain a team whose work extends well beyond the software — into the operational, strategic, and in-person support that keeps a registry thriving year after year.

“Partnership + Platform” is more than a tagline. It captures the two halves of what makes a Fivos engagement work. The platform is PATHWAYS: the data dictionary architecture, the abstraction tools, and the reports that transform years of procedures into a defensible research and quality asset. The partnership is the full complement of registry services around it — the people and workflows that turn a database into a living program.

Much of that partnership work happens face-to-face, at the meetings where our society partners convene their communities.

Meeting our partners where the work happens

This year, Fivoans have been on the road in support of our society partners’ most important gatherings.

We were in Boston for VQI@VAM, standing alongside our Society for Vascular Surgery® Vascular Quality Initiative® colleagues as members compared notes on the next chapter of vascular quality. We were in Seattle for the NeuroVascular Quality Initiative-Quality Outcomes Database Annual Meeting, and in Colorado Springs for the 2026 SNIS Cerebral Venous and CSF Disorders Summit — a smaller, sharper gathering where the next cohort of contributing centers often decides whether a platform can grow with them. And we are present at regional VQI meetings across the country, where the discussion turns local and produces some of the most actionable insights of the year.

We also joined colleagues at the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery’s 48th Annual Meeting this past October, demonstrating our commitment to local privacy and quality needs for Canadian centers.

“Collaboration is at the core of Fivos, and working alongside our partners is easily the best part of my role. We’re committed to open, thoughtful communication at every step so we can align on vision, support registry stakeholders, and achieve lasting success together.” – Dawn Paiva, Society and Registry Sales Manager at Fivos

What “partnership” looks like year-round

Meeting presence is one facet of a broader partnership. At events like these, our sales and marketing and communications teams are the visible Fivos face. They engage with prospective centers — the conversation a webinar can start, but that a handshake typically finalizes — and reconnect with existing members, relaying what they hear back to the broader team. The rest of the services operate year-round in support of our society partners:

  • Our registry operations and customer success teams work with existing centers to resolve specific abstraction questions and walk coordinators through reports they haven’t had time to explore.
  • Our design and implementation leads take an informal “we’ve been wanting a module for X” — and turn it into a roadmap conversation. The same applies to data collection projects: the custom pull for an IRB, the tailored dataset for a fellow’s research.
  • Our industry collaboration team connects device manufacturers’ real-world evidence needs to what the society’s data can support.
  • And behind the scenes, contracting and accounting/billing let a society say yes to what comes next without building the infrastructure to support it.

Technology only takes a clinical registry so far; the real impact happens through ongoing human support. As Joanne Miller, Registry Operations Manager at Fivos, puts it:

“Software alone doesn’t keep a registry thriving—people do. We work hand-in-hand with site teams year-round, troubleshooting abstraction challenges and unlocking reporting tools so societies get maximum value out of their data.”

Each service is tailored to a society’s budget, workflow, and unique registry needs — adding capacity a society would otherwise have to build in-house. Together, they let a registry scale clinically, financially, and operationally without adding to the society’s overhead. That is what Partnership + Platform delivers in practice.
